2023 BET Hip Hop Awards: 21 Savage and Cardi B Among Top Nominees

21 Savage and Cardi B lead the nominations for the BET Hip Hop Awards 2023 with 12 nods apiece, followed by Drake with nine and DJ Khaled and Burna Boy with seven.

Cardi B, who is gearing up to release her new single “Bongos” with Megan Thee Stallion, secured nominations for best live performer, lyricist of the year, hip-hop artist of the year and song of the year for “Tomorrow 2,” her collaboration with GloRilla. In the “Sweet 16: Best Featured Verse” category, she received two nominations for her contributions to GloRilla’s “Tomorrow 2” as well as Latto’s “Put It On Da Floor.”

Currently on his “It’s All a Blur” tour with Drake, 21 Savage is up for lyricist of the year, hustler of the year and hip-hop artist of the year. He was largely acknowledged for his collaborative album with Drake, last year’s “Her Loss,” which is nominated for hip-hop album of the year, song of the year (“Rich Flex”) and best hip-hop video (“Spin Bout U”).

Elsewhere, J. Cole accrued six nominations. Jay-Z, GloRilla and Coi Leray trailed close behind with five nods apiece. Other nominees include André 3000, Busta Rhymes, Megan Thee Stallion, Ice Spice, Nas and more.
